The world-wide graffiti culture is rich of different styles, forms and expressions. Written messages in public space always plaid an important role in society to document a certain era such as the Maya glyphs or the cave paintings of Lasceaux, which date back to 14.000 BC. Today, artists use public space to bring written texts to a wide audience and political activists use public areas to inform and influence society about issues, that are not documented in the mainstream media. “Street Messages”, by Nicholas Ganz, is the first ever published book, that is extensively presenting this form of public communication and celebrates it’s most influential artists world-wide.
A limited edition set of Better Homes and Gardens Today 'Home' Signs are featured in the collaborative international traveling exhibit accompanying the launch of the book. The exhibit will be shown in London, Essen, Berlin, Milano, Amsterdam, Singapore, Paris, and New York.
